Go Away

Here at the Wombat File, we generally like to pretend that nothing’s more entertaining than a leisurely perusal of our knotty natterings. But occasionally it strikes us that there are superior amusements you may have overlooked before visiting this page. As it does now.

  • Boys, boys! Daniel Okrent flings a couple of spitballs at Paul Krugman on his way out the door as the NY Times Public Editor, and Le Krug takes the slapfight to the enemy. (via MediaBistro’s FishbowlNY)

  • Ongoing blogarific coverage of the 2005 Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee is being provided by Mr. Sun.

  • "This is a commonly known quote and does not need to be cited" (via the Speedysnail Feed)

  • "Together you and I will destroy the gays." Christian telemarketers want comedian Eugene Mirman to switch from his gay phone company. (Via a Mefi double post that was new to the Wombat).

  • 'Okay, for those of you who read Chapter IX, Never Stop Learning, you know Brad's got a thing for rocks... He's immersed himself in learning the art of making rocks so you don't have to! ...Now, you can timebind off his "rock knowledge" and save yourself the frustration and aggravation of rock failure.' It’s all part of Brad’s currency of the future. (Endorsed by “Ernie Goyett, Business Owner”)
