Interesting connections we're having to make down here - the celluar network is sucking wind, alternate land-lines are hard to come by, some emails are offline and not everyone has consistent access to connectivity (or even power.) I can't reach any of my neighbors by phone, but today I received an email (from a woman I had contacted via a web forum) telling me that she had received an IM from a friend in Cancun who had been called by a mutual friend in Norway who somehow knew that one neighbor on my block had fled as his house was "getting off the ground." Natually I can't reach the neighbor to clarify that last bit. Arrgh.
